I missed a whole weekend as I was down for the count with a severe chest cold.
It came on the heels of completing my longest run in my life. Saturday I set out to run 10 miles in FLSP (First Landing State Park) and completed it in 1:42.38. It was a good feeling finishing that distance officially. I was beat afterward and did a solid 15 minutes of stretching but as the day wore on instead of feeling energized, I started feeling worse.
I woke up not only sore from doing 10 but sore from head to toe with a cold, a headache, and a developing chest cough. I am much better today and will be back chronologically blogging the days to bring myself and everyone up to date.
It took me 25 years to decide to run again after being a high school track sprinter. My wife was doubtful and asked that question. She had already experienced 25 years living with a marathon running father and now her husband was going to start running. I have done it. I have become a runner.I will attempt to document my experiences and share interesting tidbits along the way
