I am really getting concerned as my throat and glands were so swollen this morning I could hardly swallow. I am now at work with one staff member out sick as well and really want to go back home and get in bed.
More concerning is the second leg of the Distance Series is 3 days away. The 15k starts Saturday morning at 8am at First Landing State Park and I will be running no matter what. There is a premium item for running all three races as well as a nice plaque with pictures and times from each of the 3 races. It will be a memento that I can keep for many years.
Pray, I heal up over the rest of this week. Thankfully it is predicted to be 50 degrees on Saturday instead of 25-30 like it could have been. Maybe the warm weather, lots of vitamin C and juice, and Motrin will help me get through this. I only have 7 weeks until the Shamrock Half and this is suppose to be my training run.
It took me 25 years to decide to run again after being a high school track sprinter. My wife was doubtful and asked that question. She had already experienced 25 years living with a marathon running father and now her husband was going to start running. I have done it. I have become a runner.I will attempt to document my experiences and share interesting tidbits along the way
